Description
Composition: Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium
Therapeutic Class: Penicillin-type broad-spectrum antibiotic.
Indication: Bimox is an Amoxicillin/Clavulanate potassium
combination penicillin-type antibiotic. It is indicated in the
treatment of a wide variety of bacterial infections including
lower respiratory tract infections (β-lactamase-producing
strains of Haemophilus influenzae and Moraxella catarrhalis),
skin and soft tissue infections (β-lactamase-producing strains
of Staphylococcus aureus, E coli and Klebsiella spp) and
genito-urinary tract infections.
Dosage Form:
Tablets: 625mg and 1000mg
Strength (Pack size): – 625mg tabs (2×7) (500mg + 125mg)- 1000mg tabs (1×10) (875mg + 125mg)
Dosage: 625mg: Mild to moderate infections – 1 tablet bid
Severe infections – 1 tablet tid (For 7 – 14 days or as prescribed by physician)
1000mg: Mild to moderate infections – 1 tablet once daily
Severe infections – 1 tablet bid (For 5 – 10 days or as prescribed by physician)c
