The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kofikrom Pharmacy Limited, Pharm. Kofi Addo-Agyekum who doubles as the Vice President of the Armwrestling Federation of Africa (AFA) is currently in Egypt with Mr. Charles Asibi, President of AFA ahead of Africa’s maiden hosting of the World Armwrestling Championship (WAC) in 2024
Pharm. Kofi Addo-Agyekum and Mr. Charles Osei Asibey paid a courtesy call on H.E. Lt. Gen Obed Boamah Akwa (Rtd), the Ambassador Extraordinaire and Plenipotentiary at the Ghana Embassy in Cairo on 09/03/2023 to discuss about the World Armwrestling Championship (WAC).
They used the opportunity to share planned activities and reiterated AFA’s interest to work closely with the Ministry responsible for Sports in Egypt.
Pharm Kofi Addo-Agyekum thanked H.E. Lt. Gen Obed Boamah Akwa (Rtd) for the warm welcome and support extended to AFA and expressed AFA’s confidence that it would continue smoothly to collaborate more with members of the Armwrestling fraternity in Egypt in the coming years.
H.E. Lt. Gen Obed Boamah Akwa (Rtd) acknowledged the role that AFA is playing as a platform to promote Armwrestling in Africa and appreciated highly the contribution of Kofikrom Pharmacy Limited in this endeavor. H.E. Lt. Gen Obed Boamah Akwa (Rtd) congratulated the AFA Team, and also expressed his confidence that AFA will continue to perform as a valuable platform in promoting friendly relationship between Ghana and Egypt.
His Excellency further expressed his commitments for full support to AFA in whatever ways possible.
